need to be trimmed on a frequent basis, so that any dying plant material can
be removed from the tank. This trimming also helps control the growth of the
plants and maintain the appearance that you want in the aquarium. Some
people see "Aquatic Gardening" even as a more satisfying hobby then regular
fish keeping
The third factor of fresh water aquarium plants that you need to consider
deals with the type of fish that you have in the tank. Some fish, such as
discus, enjoy plants, which can result in the destruction of the plants. On

aquarium, unless you are not concerned with whether or not your fish eat or
tear the plants.
