Eheim 2227 Professional Wet/Dry Filter Canister Filter
Eheim professional wet/dry filters offer exceptional filtering capabilities
combined with efficient, convenient designs. The Eheim 2227 professional wet/dry
filter canister filter is designed for aquariums of up to 92 gallons in size and
has a filter volume of 1.3 gallons. The pump output is approximately 277 gallons
per hour and the unit has a weight of 13 pounds.
The special design of the Eheim 2227 professional wet/dry filter canister filter
allows the filter media to come in contact with the air. This increases the
efficiency of the filter and allows for contaminants to be broken down much
faster than traditional filters. Ammonium and nitrates are removed at a rate of
up to 70% faster when compared with traditional designs.
In addition the increased filtering capacity, the Eheim 2227 professional
wet/dry filter canister filter also allows for greater introduction of oxygen
into the aquarium water, creating a healthier and more vibrant aquatic
environment. The oxygen levels are increased both through the breather tube in
the filter itself and the wave-like action that is produced as the water is
re-introduced into the aquarium.

biological, absorbtive and chemical filter media can be used in any combination
